Parkland Drama “Catharts” proudly at Junior One Acts Festival

Parkland's production of “A Distracted Scholar's
Guide to Literature and Drama” consisted of an Thomas Pennings, Dakota Gould / Absent: Riley Birkett,
entirely grade 9 cast and crew, with two grade 11 Kaitlyn Stiles, Brayden Hewitt, Makayla Belliveau, and
student directors, Amber Beddoes and Riley Jocelyn Karvelson.

These Pacers wowed the crowd and inspired
much laughter as they shared the dramatic and
eccentric history that makes up modern literature
and drama. Parkland did well in the awards
presentation, winning the following:
- Outstanding Performance in his Role as the
Ghost of Christmas Fast: Thomas Pennings.
- Outstanding Student Directors: Amber
Beddoes and Riley Birkett.
- Outstanding Backstage Teamwork Award
